THE HANGING BRIDGE

We have a hanging bridge here and before its construction, the people living by the side swim across even with their luggage, resulting into some deaths. Between 1935 - 1936 this bridge (hanging bridge) was built by the government. There are two of its kinds in Nigeria, the one here and another in Jebba while there is a replica in Hong Kong

OKE - ORE MOUNTAINS

Another interesting site you must see is the metaphoric hill Oke Ore in Iwo with two interesting features. The first is an interesting religious paradox. And secondaly, the symbology stones to all asprect of life. A critical persual to this will unravel the paradoxical and symbology hill. Tourists from far and wide visit to view the relationship between the religion of the old worshippers, the Muslim and Christians.

OLUMIRIN WATERFALLS

A major eco-tourism site in the state is the Olumirin Waterfalls in Erin Ijesa. Erin Ijesa waterfall site lies some kilometers east of Ilesa - Akure road, Oriade local government, state of Osun.
According to the custodian of the waterfall, it was said to have been founded by a woman called Akinla, a grandaughter of Oduduwa in the year 1140AD during the migration of the Ife people to Erin Ijesa. The water flows among rocks and splashes down with a great force to the evergreen vegetation around.

OSUN GROOVE

The Osun Osogbo groove is located in Osogbo, the state capital. It is an organically evolved cultural landscape associated with the Yoruba traditional religion and culture. The sacred groove of about 75 hectares of rain forest vegetation harbours over four hundred (400) species of plant which two hundred are found to be of high medicinal values to the Yoruba people and others alike who believes in it's efficiency. The groove is a highly sacred sanctuary where different shrines, sculptures and artworks have been erected to honourl celebrate and remember all Yoruba deities in the groove.

AYIKUNGBA WATERFALLS

This waterfall is located in Oke Ila Orangun, Ifedayo Local Government Area. It is in the thick forest and it's the opposite of Olumirin waterfall where you climb to appreciate the view, but in Ayikungba waterfall, tourists will descend to discover the wonderful work of nature within the beautiful landscape of mountains, caves and trees. The waterfall was discovered by a hunter (PA Adeogun) during a hunting expedition. He shot a strange animal called "Nugba" which rolled down and stumbled into the waterfalls. The site, besides being tourists attraction, is also a recommended place to keep fit by exercising in the course of descending and ascending the waterfall

OSUN CENTRAL MOSQUE

This mosque is located in Osogbo, Oke - Baale Local Government Area. It is in the market square and located at the heart of Osogbo. It was built by the first monarchs who ruled in the year 2002AD and it was next renovated in the 2020. It has been one of the major tourist centers in Osun and many religious congregration are always being held in there

YEMAPO'S QUATERS

This mosque is located in Osogbo, Oke - Baale Local Government Area. It is in the market square and located at the heart of Osogbo. MOREMI OUTPOST

Queen Moremi was a courageous, brave and beautiful woman who, in order to deal with the problem facing her people, pledged a great sacrifice to the Spirit of the river Esimirin so that she could discover the strength of her nation's enemies.She was also known to be a courageous, selfless beautiful woman from Ile-Ife. Following incessant raids by a neighboring tribe and with Ife under siege, she took the heroic step of offering herself to be captured by the raiders. She is said to have been taken as a slave by the Ugbo, and due to her beauty and Esimirin's help, she married their ruler as his anointed queen.

OSUN SACRED RIVER

This sacred river is a goddess and some mythical and metaphorical significance are attached to her. Inside the groove lays the origin of the Osogbo ascendancy and Kingship institution

IBODI MONKEY FOREST RESERVES

Ibodi Monkey Forest resreve is located in Ibodi town, Atakumosa west local government area, state of Osun. The forest is the home of different species of monkeys that came to Ibodi with Oba Isadele Oloja and Aramofe spirit from Ile-Ife. The festival attached to this monkey is called the Aramofe celebrated in September every year to appease Aramofe spirit and that of the monkeys
